most of this footage came from a 1956 trip around australia by the grandfathers of a few mates from boort, victoria.
went for a quick look at sandown where this weekend the ‘historic sandown ’07‘ meeting just down the road

that previous technique to trick your brain in seeing 3D also works with really old photos like this one from the state library of victoria:

the duke of york dropped by and george rose (i assume of rose stereographs) made heaps of ‘stereographs’ of the visit. i chose this one because it shows off the 3D really nicely
