I don’t buy the argument at all. I believe that it is the epitome of arrogance to think that humans can some how destroy something that they in no way had a hand in creating. Being responsible and being good stewards of our planet, yes. But when the government gets its hand in anything, especially something on this scale, it spells TROUBLE.

i don’t think he is bringing up the argument like this because he wants to decide whether or not to act,
he is bringing it up like this to show what non-decision this is, there is only one responsible and defensible option and that is to act..
