new space race | A Clogwog in Oz

there is a new space race happening at the moment.the reason is the X Price.

The X price is:

A US$ 10 Million price for the first team that:

Privately builds and launches a spaceship able to carry 3 people to a 100 km altitude.

Returns savely to earth and repeats the launch with the same ship within 2 weeks. [more]..

one of the teams is Scaled Composites who have build SpaceShipOne. they have flown their second rocket powered test flight yesterday reaching a speed of mach 2 and an altitude of 105.000 feet. it looks like they are the front runner for the price of all teams involved. some of the photos remind me of the photos i've seen from the original one. Obama Signs NDAA Martial Law

There is little one can say about a video such as this but nazi Germany has arrived in the US predicted by many for years. The writing was on the wall so people shouldn't be surprised. OK Go – Needing/Getting – Official Video

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck.
