good thing we left on friday because it was the only day with decent surf. ended up surfing bells beach twice and i had 2 of my longest waves ever. yappa, roh, leroy, logger, edsie and me.

Sunday, 26 March 2006portsea
the swell came up a lot more than expected so we headed down to portsea and had a good surf. about 3 foot and clean. once the tide dropped too much the banks all stopped working though. lee, rob, roh and me.

Sunday, 5 March 2006the hump, the hump, the hump
didn't take any photo's, but just for the record. we surfed the hump close to cape patterson. small but good fun. 3 ft, no wind. roh, lee and me.

Saturday, 25 February 2006portsea again
it was northerly but the swell was pretty small so we ended up surfing portsea again. 2-3 foot fun waves. better than mowing the grass in the backyard (which desperately needs mowing). lee, roh and me.

Friday, 27 January 2006australia day weekend
thursday was australia day so we went for a surf. ended up at st. andrews where the swell was big but still good fun. we then decided to stay around for an arvo surf. unfortunately the swell came up a bit and the tide was wrong. it took me 10 minutes to paddle out, 40 minutes to not catch a wave and then 30 minutes to try to paddle back in against the rip. did see a dolphin surfing through the wave and made us look silly.
we stayed around for friday as well. st. andrews was out of control so we headed to pt. leo. alost caught a big kangaroo with the car along the way.
did get a nice surf at point leo. today was still a warm day and after a thunderstorm went past the cicada's started up. if you never heard cicadas make their noise then it is a bit hard to describe how loud they are, so here's a little bit of sound i recorded with my telephone.. and you can never find these little insects even if you are standing right on them. all in all a pretty good australia day weekend.. and the weekend hasn't even started yet :)

Friday, 30 December 2005an early morning surf
got up at 4:40 and had a pre work morning surf. the beaches were out of control so we headed point leo way and ended up at cyrills. nothing too fancy but better something than nothing. tomorrow its going to be 42 degrees so another early surf and get back home before it gets realy warm and don't move..

Tuesday, 27 December 2005its a stinker today
a
surf with roh and lee. we ended up at central ave. because the waves
were too big for anything else. not a great surf. today it is going to
be 35 degrees and as i'm typing this the cicada's are starting up.
