moving , but only a little distance....
this is the last entry on this page. i'm sick of the slack development of radio userland and i am switching over to using wordpress as program to maintain my website.

it will take a while before i'm happy with the website but i'll start with the default theme and slowly make changes. i could even import all the previous entries done in radio userland..

so from now on you should go to

Hack your brain with sound
brain_waves.jpgi downloaded this and it does seem to do something, too bad it only works on windoze:

via gizmodo:

We are remaining firmly skeptical about this, but there are some binaural sounds you can play through earphones that supposedly hack your brain, making you feel like you've had too much coffee, feel relaxed, or get rid of that headache.  These downloadable sounds feed you a different tone in each ear, and the combination of the two delivers a frequency overtone that is said to alter your brain waves.

Now we've seen low-frequency sounds send someone into convulsions, but are also aware that 50% of the time, the placebo effect is responsible for the effects of any drug or technique. Now if you'll excuse us, we're going off to try a few of these.

tunatic
A picture named screenshot_01.jpgfound an interesting program that will try to identify a song by playing it to your computer. it extracts a signature from the audio, send it to a server and will try to match it. there's even a program on their website to create signatures of your audio and if it is not already on the server, it will upload it making the library even bigger.
