moving , but only a little distance....
this is the last entry on this page. i'm sick of the slack development of radio userland and i am switching over to using wordpress as program to maintain my website.

it will take a while before i'm happy with the website but i'll start with the default theme and slowly make changes. i could even import all the previous entries done in radio userland..

so from now on you should go to

Nikon DX VR 18-200 mm F3.5-5.6G
does anybody know where i can get this lens ?
all the places that say they have them don't have them in stock, and most of them are very honest and tell me that they don't know when they will be available...

nikon..you are such a tease...

any location is good but melbourne, victoria or australia would be better.. lemmeknow

update: tom found one for me..hopefully i'm the highest bid more in 9 hours. whoohoo, i didn't win the first one but i found another one and just had the highest bid.. can't wait to get the lens over here.

Hack your brain with sound
brain_waves.jpgi downloaded this and it does seem to do something, too bad it only works on windoze:

via gizmodo:

We are remaining firmly skeptical about this, but there are some binaural sounds you can play through earphones that supposedly hack your brain, making you feel like you've had too much coffee, feel relaxed, or get rid of that headache.  These downloadable sounds feed you a different tone in each ear, and the combination of the two delivers a frequency overtone that is said to alter your brain waves.

Now we've seen low-frequency sounds send someone into convulsions, but are also aware that 50% of the time, the placebo effect is responsible for the effects of any drug or technique. Now if you'll excuse us, we're going off to try a few of these.

the swell came up a lot more than expected so we headed down to portsea and had a good surf. about 3 foot and clean. once the tide dropped too much the banks all stopped working though. lee, rob, roh and me.

fish-display-thingy
because of the commonwealth games that are about to finish here in melbourne they put a whole heap of fish in the yarra. no not real ones, they wouldn't last the 2 weeks but artworks on pontoons. every night they are lit up and every hour they have a sound and light show. they look pretty cool though.
